This week, Keahi was able to experience his first encounters with the waters (the ocean and a pool). Yes, I have never taken Keahi to a pool or to the beach before. He'd been to beaches in Tahiti but he never really played. Today was his first time to actually play with the sand and the shore waves.
He enjoyed walking on the sand close to the small waves and once it hits him, he'll stop and just feel the water. He was so scared of the waves at the beginning, but Garry helped him get comfortable little by little until he started playing with the water.

Last Tuesday was also Keahi's first time to be in a pool. There he didn't have any fear at all. He just went to the water right away, and he didn't even want to get out of the pool anymore.

He was so grumpy at the beginning because he wanted to be in the water so badly already but I wanted to wait for other kids to get out of the kid's pool because I know he'd be too excited with the kids that I might not be able to handle him alone. (This was 10 in the morning and Garry was still sleeping). |
